On 24 February 2022, the European Banking Authority (“EBA”) published the Final Report on Guidelines on the limited network exclusion under PSD2 (EBA/GL/2022/02), which are new EBA guidelines on the limited network exclusion (LNE), allowing various service providers that use a limited network to determine whether they can continue to qualify this exception, which entails less stringent regulatory obligations.
