The Institute of Law Studies of the Polish Academy of Sciences and the Association of Intellectual Property and Competition Law would like to invite you to a scientific conference on “Intellectual property law – Competition – New technologies”, which will take place on 24 April 2018.

It will focus on current issues associated with the development of new technologies, and their impact on copyright law, industrial property law and competition law. The conference will also be an opportunity to integrate the academic community and experts in the field of intellectual property law.

Speakers include Prof. of the Institute of Law Studies of the Polish Academy of Sciences, Paweł Podrecki, PhD, Habil., Attorney-at-Law, and Grzegorz Sibiga, PhD, Attorney-at-Law.

Training session: Implementation of the PSD2 Directive – significant changes for payment service providers

The Training Institute for Banking Law (Instytut Szkoleń Prawa Bankowego) invites you to training on the implementation of the PSD2 Directive and significant changes for payment service providers, to be held on 19 April 2018 in the Mercure Warszawa Centrum hotel.

The meeting will cover issues related to changes in the rules for the provision of payment services introduced by the PSD2 Directive. Close attention will be devoted to operational issues concerning the necessity to adapt the activity to changes in the rules for the provision of payment services as well as to the presentation of opportunities and threats. The main decision areas and possible variants of conduct related to the change of regulatory environment after implementation of the PSD2 Directive will also be indicated.

Workshops: Adaptation of telecommunications industry activity to the requirements of the Act implementing PSD2

Workshops on the adaptation of telecommunications industry activity to the requirements of the Act implementing PSD2 will be held on 12 April 2018.

Telecommunications companies were obliged to prepare themselves for new regulations introduced by the PSD2 Directive by 13 January 2018. Final works on the Act implementing the PSD2 Directive into Polish law are under way.
Participation in the training will allow its members to familiarise themselves thoroughly with the obligations imposed on mobile phone companies by the PSD2 Directive.
